What is a service for?
Servicing is planned maintenance based on the vehicle’s requirements. It can include oil and filter changes, fluid checks and inspection of components for wear or leaks. The exact work depends on the make, model, engine, age, mileage and service history. We’ll discuss the appropriate work for your vehicle when you contact us.
When is your next service due?
Check your handbook, service record and any dashboard reminder. Manufacturers may specify time, mileage or a vehicle-calculated interval. Low annual mileage does not necessarily remove the need for time-based maintenance. Tell us when your last service was carried out and your current mileage so we can help you plan the next visit.
Servicing and the MOT
The MOT checks specified safety and environmental standards at the time of inspection. A service attends to maintenance requirements. Passing an MOT does not mean that oil, filters or other scheduled items have been renewed. Keep both your test dates and service schedule in mind when planning vehicle care.
What to bring and mention
Have your registration, approximate mileage and service history available. Tell us about warning lights, unusual noises, fluid loss or changes in starting and running. A routine service may not resolve an existing fault, so identifying symptoms in advance helps us discuss any diagnostic work that may be needed.
